Hired driver onboarding · pre-launch

Drive for Hired. Help shape Hired.

We are onboarding drivers ahead of launch. Hired is being built around normal ride earnings, additional referral earning opportunities and a longer-term direction towards a driver-owned business where drivers have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect them.

What you are joining

A driving opportunity with a wider stake in the network.

We are separating three ideas clearly so drivers know what Hired is building.

Ride earnings: earn from completed driving work through the Hired network.
Referral earnings: additional earning opportunities for helping bring genuine drivers and riders into Hired, subject to programme terms.
Driver ownership direction: a model being developed to give drivers greater participation and influence over major business decisions.

Driver onboarding

Get ready before the network opens.

Complete the driver journey early so documents, vehicle information and compliance checks can be prepared ahead of activation.

01

Create your driver profile

Start your Hired driver account and provide the details needed to identify your application.

02

Identity and licence details

Provide the identity, private-hire and driving licence information required for your driver profile.

03

Add your vehicle

Provide vehicle, registration and relevant licensing information for the vehicle you intend to use.

04

Insurance and compliance

Supply the required insurance and compliance documents so they can be reviewed before activation.

05

Application review

Hired reviews the submitted profile and identifies anything that needs attention before approval.

06

Activation and launch readiness

Once approved and the relevant launch area is active, your driver profile can be prepared to receive Hired work.

How drivers earn

Driving income first. Additional earning routes alongside it.

We are not publishing invented earnings figures. Actual rates, deductions and referral terms should be shown once the final driver commercial structure is approved.

Ride earnings

Earn for the journeys you complete.

Normal driver earnings are based on the work carried out through the Hired platform. The final driver rate structure should explain fares, driver payouts, any service fees and applicable additions transparently before drivers accept the commercial terms.

Referral earnings

Earn by helping the network grow.

Hired also intends to provide referral earning opportunities when genuine referred participants become part of and use the network. Exact eligibility, rates, duration and payment rules should be published in the referral programme terms rather than assumed on this page.

Driver-owned direction

Drivers should have more rights over the business they help build.

Hired is being developed towards a driver-owned model rather than treating drivers only as supply on a platform. The aim is to create stronger driver participation in the decisions that materially affect driver work, economics and the future direction of the network.

Greater driver representation when major operational policies are considered.
A stronger mechanism for driver input into decisions that affect earnings and working conditions.
A route towards drivers participating in the value of the business they help create.
Clearer communication on proposed changes rather than one-sided platform decisions.

The exact legal ownership, voting, governance and eligibility structure should be published only after the final driver-owned business model is formally established.

Onboard before launch
